the plannee awards cocktail party

The Grammys aired on Sunday, January 28th, 2018 - but those stars weren’t the only ones looking amazing on the red carpet. This year’s Planners Suite Conference eased on down to Atlanta and began the festivities with a celebration of planners. The Plannee Awards was now an evening of glitz and glam. As planners made their way into Crown Plaza Midtown’s Sky West - they looked absolutely amazing. For this reason, it was only right that they had an opportunity to step onto the red carpet with Ken Branson of MasterMIND Productions. His red carpet photobooth was an absolute hit with planners and they had an absolute blast snapping it up!

After getting their pictures taken, they entered our Emerald City - complete with plenty of green uplighting and some eye catching furniture pieces from AFR Event Furnishings -  and were welcomed with some tasty bites and champagne. After they mixed and mingled for a few - planners gathered towards the stage to look as their peers were acknowledged. Akeem Clayton knows exactly why he’s in this industry - landing him the Purpose Award.  Krisy Parker Thomas was awarded for her amazing “sparkly” branding for the Brand It Well Award. Irene Tyndale brought the boom to business - so she was presented the award for Corporate Creative. And the ladies of The Wink Team charmed us all together when they accepted the Team of the Year award. Each recipient had a similar message - one that rings true with every planner in the room - they LOVE this industry.

Once the formalities were done - the turn-up began. DJ Mark Battle eased everyone in to what would soon become a PARTY! He started with a bit of old school, and once everyone was warmed up, he took us to the next level! Planners from all over were on the dance floor dancing the night away! You wouldn’t think they were getting ready for a conference the next morning! The first annual Plannee Awards Cocktail Party was an absolute success and we want to thank everyone who came to kick things off with us. Don’t worry, it was the first but it won’t be the last!
